![]() ![]() This is my first time playing the Bioshock title overall. Overall, a great game middled by terrible combat and a disappointing ending. The 'would you kindly' is easily the best moment in the game and it would have been great to end the game on a high note. If I were the developers, I would have ended the game with Fontaine killing the main character. Even the levels before the battle against fontaine mostly feel lesser in both atmosphere and gameplay to all other levels in the game. The boss fight was boring and the 3 endings feel weird, partially because 2 are the exact same and are both weird given the context of the story. I feel that the ending the game had was super boring. But the worst part about Bioshock is that it should have ended earlier. The remaster could have fixed many of the issues I had with the combat but it didn't. I know that Bioshock came out in 2007 but the combat is super outdated and boring. ![]() Something I could not stand though, was the combat. The different concepts in the game, Rapture, little sisters and big daddies, atom, plasmids, all of these feel completely fleshed out through ingame dialogue and audio diaries. Andrew Ryan has quickly cemented himself into one of my favorite video games antagonists and I could not get enough of him in the game. Rapture is a crazy place right out of a dream but traversing each of the levels made me feel like I was really there. ![]() This review contains spoilers, click expand to view.īioshock is an amazing game with combat that just outright sucks. ![]()
